These Terms and Conditions of Sale govern the purchase of products and services from our company. By engaging with us for your needs, you agree to adhere to these terms, so please review them carefully. If you have any questions or require clarification, feel free to contact us.

TERMS AND CONDITIONS OF SALE:
VALIDITY OF QUOTATIONS:
Gauteng Armature Winders reserves the right to correct any errors and/or omissions to this quotation. The prices quoted are open to acceptance for a period of 30 days from the date of the quotation unless otherwise stipulated and thereafter subject to written confirmation. Alterations to quotations will not be binding unless agreed to in writing by the seller. Prices quoted may be subject to fluctuations in foreign currency exchange rate. Any variation in the rate quoted and that paid to our suppliers will be for the buyer’s account. Changes in statutory duties and surcharges will also be for the buyers account. In the event that no purchase order is given GAW has the right to charge a flat rate of 7.5% of quoted price to cover costs such us, transport, labour and admin fees.
PRICES:
Prices Quoted are Nett and Exclude (VAT) as indicated in the body of the quotation/order confirmation.
PAYMENT:
All payments are COD unless an account is held with GAUTENG ARMATURE WINDERS. Cheques are NOT accepted unless specific arrangements have been made in advance. EFT payments are preferred and require a remittance and proof of payment sent through. EFT payments require a 2-day clearing period pending confirmation of transfer of funds. Certain products and/or projects are subject to payment of a deposit on placement of order to secure importation, which is indicated in the quotation. Ownership of the equipment will vest in Gauteng Armature Winders until full and final payment has been received.
Please note that as from 1 March 2017 payment terms are strictly 30 days Nett, unfortunately due to company policy we do not allow a 2.5% discount unless authorised in writing.

LATE PAYMENTS from account holders 30 days + will be subjected to 6% interest on full amount outstanding.

GAW DOES NOT provide Refunds.
INSTALLATION/COMMISSIONING
Installation and commissioning are excluded from all quotes and orders unless specifically addressed in the body of the quotation with clear scope of works.
DELIVERY/COLLECTION Delivery lead times vary between products and are indicated in the body of the quotation and is dependent on the workload at the time of the quotation. Certain products offered for sale by Gauteng Armature Winders may be subject to Foreign Government Export License approvals to the specific End User, delivery of such products is subject to successful issuance by the relevant authorities. Delays in delivery/collection, or non-delivery as result of such license requirements is beyond our reasonable control and no liability by Gauteng Armature Winders can be accepted in such cases.
Goods not collected from Gauteng Armature Winders after 6 (Six) months will be sold to defray costs.
ORDER CANCELLATION
Orders are considered firm and irrevocable, requests for cancellation will be in writing and will be subject to a standard 7.5% cancellation fee on all in house services and 25% on all outsourced products sold, this percentage is of the full order value. Fees may escalate depending on the size and progress/status of the job.
WARRENTEES
All services are guaranteed for a minimum period of 6 months on repairs and 1 year on new apparatus. This is effective from date of Invoice and covers the client against poor workmanship while fair wear and tear is excluded. All warranties are subject to investigation in the form of an internal failure assessment and a 3rd party installation/commissioning report with or without the client present. If the machine is dismantled post failure by the client or end user, the warranty is null and void. All Bearings, Roller, Ball and Thrust type are not guaranteed as we do not manufacture this component nor do we Store, Transport (long distance), Install and Commission the motors or perform Alignment and Vibration Analysis of the installation post repairs. However, GAW follows all reputable OEM method of bearing replacement using Induction Heaters, Hydraulic Pullers and Quality Products. Motors that may or have been used on various power supplies and environments that may affect winding/insulation integrity and bearing reliability due apparatus such as frequency inverters are Excluded from a warranty claim, unless precautions were invested during the repair/service. Such precautions include: Insulated Bearings, Housings, Journals, Earth Rings and Inverter Grade Copper Wire. All guarantees offered by Gauteng Armature Winders cc will be subject to the warrantee conditions of the foreign OEM.
SERVICE Local service and repair facilities are available from Gauteng Armature Winders cc, in certain cases however (repairs to core components) foreign workshop repairs may be required. Extended warranty options and services contracts are available on request or Included in the Specific Quotation.
USE OF DOCUMENTATION
Gauteng Armature Winders has a Confidentiality clause stating that all information and all documents are intended for the recipient only, this clause is included in our emails and available on request. Confidential Documents include but are not limited to the Following: Failure Reports, Quotations, Invoices, and Price Lists.
Failure Reports: the purpose of our reports, which are only provided on request, are used to provide our clients with a proof of scope of work as per our quotations and to provide recommendations as to prevent future failure. However, our findings are not the absolute cause of failure but are our technical opinion based on the findings of our internal assessments. We do not investigate the applications, installations or assess the commissioning reports, therefore we do not take responsibility for the failure, or any peripheral damages of equipment due to the failure as we are not a certified consultant firm. The report is a one-sided assessment and should only be used between GAW and our clients as a guide and recommendation.
If our reports are used for insurance claims or against power utility providers (Eskom, City Power), with or without our consent, we will not be liable or responsible for any insurance loss recovery system that may follow. The cost/s in absolution of a or any claim will terminate at our clients and their insurance company. If our reports are used in any claims without our consent, legal action may be taken on our client and their insurance company for illegal use of our documentation and breach of our confidentiality clause.
Test Certification: our test certificates are available on request. The purpose of our test certificates and is part of our ISO 9001:2015 QMS (quality management system) is to provide our clients with a detail test report insuring all typically tests have been performed with our test instruments and test bay before dispatch. Any deviations or issues will be solved before delivery, our certificated may be passed on the end users. Our tests are performed in house on our controlled test bench and does not include the mechanical load or end user power supply system and is therefore a test on our scope of work only.
